Cookie notice

This website sets no cookies. It also doesn't use local storage, analytics, advertising pixels or social-media trackers. There is nothing for you to accept or decline, which is why there is no cookie banner.
What that means in practice
- We can't recognise you between visits, and we don't try to.
- Your search text and filter choices live in the page address bar only (so you can share a link) and are gone when you close the page.
- "Use my location" runs in your browser, with your permission, and the result is never sent to us.
The interactive map
The map is provided by Google Maps and is shown only when you press Show interactive map or Show on map on a dealer. When it loads, your browser talks to Google directly, and Google may set cookies on its own domains (such as google.com) under Google's cookie policy. Those are Google's cookies, not ours, and the dealer list, filters, search and county browsing all work without loading the map. Separately, if you search for a place we can't match in our built-in list of counties and towns, we send that text to Google's Geocoding service to find its coordinates; that is a data lookup and does not display a map or set cookies.
Links to other sites
Dealer websites, the STIHL product-recall page and our social-media pages are run by other organisations with their own cookie practices.
