The very powerful FSA 400 battery clearing saw from the STIHL AP system is ideal for professionals in garden and landscape maintenance, municipal operations and forestry. Whether it’s greenery maintenance in noise-sensitive areas, mowing tall grass, removing wild growth and scrub or sawing down small trees in nursery maintenance – the STIHL FSA 400 combines ergonomic working with fast work progress as well as high operating and working comfort.

With a mowing circle of up to 520 mm and the powerful EC motor, the FSA 400 offers you the ideal conditions for efficient greenery maintenance. The ergonomic bike handle (mowing handlebars) is specially shaped for mowing applications and can be adjusted without tools using the folding clamping device. The 10-point hole strip for attaching the power tool and the integrated STIHL anti-vibration system contribute to low-fatigue work. The ergonomic control handle allows you to set the speed to 3 levels to work as efficiently as possible while saving as much energy as possible. The energy-saving mode is indicated by an LED.

For a long service life, the battery clearing saw is equipped with a robust housing, a durable steel drive shaft and an extremely stable aluminium protective tube, as well as a gearbox with grease filler screw. The air filter with metal grille ensures optimum engine cooling and is easy to clean.

For efficient use with STIHL fleet management, the STIHL FSA 400 is already prepared for use with the STIHL Smart Connector 2 A.

In addition to the STIHL AutoCut 46-2 supplied as standard, you can also use the STIHL FSA 400 battery clearing saw with metal cutting tools from our extensive range of accessories, such as the STIHL BrushCut 300-3 brush knife and the STIHL ShredCut 270-2 shredder blade or the STIHL WoodCut, chisel tooth, high-performance saw blade, and the matching guards. The STIHL PolyCut 48-2 mowing head with plastic blades is particularly suitable for energy-efficient grass mowing.

All battery power tools within the STIHL AP System have been designed for regular professional use, even in adverse weather conditions. For this reason, they are certified as splashproof. The effectiveness of this is also verified through demanding internal tests. For the FSA 400 battery clearing saw, the splash guard that has already been proven by internal testing has also been certified in accordance with the IPX4 protection class.
