The STIHL PolyCut 28‑2 mowing head is equipped with two robust plastic blades that require significantly less energy to mow grass than a mowing line. This means that you can work significantly longer with your cordless brushcutter for each battery charge. In petrol-driven brushcutters, using plastic blades results in lower fuel consumption. Six additional replacement plastic blades are included in the scope of delivery. In addition to using plastic blades, you can also use a mowing line in the PolyCut 28‑2 mowing head from STIHL, for work along a curb or other obstacles, for example. Mowing lines with diameters of 2.4 mm or 2.7 mm can be used.
With the PolyCut 28‑2 from STIHL with plastic blades, you are ideally equipped to mow dense grass efficiently and thoroughly with a brushcutter. STIHL plastic blades are easy to change. All you have to do is use the pin wrench provided with your brushcutter. This can be used to block the shaft, then unscrew the mowing head and replace the blades. You can also add a protective plate to your STIHL PolyCut, which reduces wear and increases the cutting height.
The STIHL PolyCut 28‑2 mowing head can be used with the following STIHL brushcutters and clearing saws:
Petrol-driven brushcutters:
Cordless brushcutters:

Note: Mowing heads may only be used with a special mowing guard or a compatible STIHL cutting tool guard.
