Product Description

The STIHL MSA 300 C-O cordless chainsaw delivers high efficiency for professionals in landscaping, forestry and local authorities. For felling, delimbing and cutting to length of small and medium-sized trees: 3 operating programs (Eco, felling and delimbing) make it possible to configure the chainsaw for specific applications.

Full electrical power of 3.0 kW is provided by the impressive STIHL AP 500 S battery which has been developed for this chainsaw, and which produces chain speeds up to 30 m/s. Used in combination STIHL Light 04 guide bar, the .325" RS Pro saw chain achieves high cutting performance with reduced weight. Professionals also appreciate the durable weatherproof design of the STIHL MSA 300 C-O. The STIHL anti-vibration system reduces vibrations and relieves the strain on your muscles and joints. The oil sensor continuously measures the amount of chain oil in the power tool to minimise interruptions to your work.

The service cover makes the filter particularly easy to access; this is hugely beneficial in simplifying the maintenance and cleaning of the MSA 300 C-O cordless chainsaw from STIHL. The MSA 300 C-O is the first chainsaw from STIHL to have an operating and notification cockpit that provides you with all the essential data and information about your saw. It is also set up for networked operation with a dedicated position for the STIHL Smart Connector 2 A.

All cordless power tools in the STIHL AP-System have been designed for professional users and daily work, including in adverse weather conditions. The power tools are splashproof on all sides, the effectiveness of which is verified by internal checks. For the STIHL MSA 300, the internally verified splashproofing has also been certified as meeting an IPX4 protection rating.

Note: STIHL recommends STIHL SynthPlus, STIHL BioPlus and STIHL ForestPlus chain oils. The chainsaw can also be operated with other light vegetable- or mineral-oil-based saw chain oils.

Note: You can only benefit from the full functionality of this cordless chainsaw by using it with a STIHL AP 500 S battery. The use of other STIHL batteries may mean that some functions are not available, or that you cannot achieve the maximum possible sawing performance.

EC MOTOR:
LOW-MAINTENANCE AND EFFICIENT. Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC motor enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.

OPERATING MODES:
ADAPTED TO YOUR WORK. This chainsaw offers you 3 different operating modes. In “Eco” mode, the chainsaw operates with reduced power for maximum battery runtime. “Felling” mode uses the highest possible torque at reduced chain speed, to help you saw as evenly and powerfully as possible. “Delimbing” mode gives you a very high chain speed for precise cuts. Use the activation button to start your chainsaw in your preferred mode.

TRANSPARENT OIL TANK:
Thanks to the soft grip on the control handle, the chainsaw sits comfortably in the hand and can be operated safely. In addition, the users grip is improved by the soft material, which helps when using the chainsaw in wet conditions.

PERFORMANCE ELECTRONICS WITH DERATING FUNCTION:
EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE MONITORING. The derating function offers you two advantages in your work: first, this function protects your chainsaw against possible overheating by reducing the current. Additionally, it notifies you by means of a reduction in power if you only have very little battery power remaining. In both cases, the function allows you to finish cuts that have already started without the engine switching off.

TWO-HANDED OPERATION:
ENSURES COMFORTABLE WORK. Your STIHL chainsaw has an ergonomically shaped handle and a comfortable rear control handle with soft components. Thanks to this two-handed operation, you can work comfortably, effortlessly and safely in all positions.

CONNECTIVITY (READY):
COMPATIBLE WITH THE SMART CONNECTOR 2A. You can mount a Smart Connector 2 A in the housing of the power tool at the dedicated position. Once installed, this connects to the control unit and transmits valuable power tool data to your smartphone, tablet or the STIHL connected Box that is within range. You can use the STIHL connected App and the STIHL connected Portal to view the STIHL connected gathered data and benefit from additional functions.

CONSTANT POWER:
When using other brands of battery tools, the performance can sometimes decrease during work as the battery discharges. This isn't the case with STIHL battery-powered tools. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your tool will work with consistently high power across the entire battery charge, until there is no energy left in the battery.

IPX4 CERTIFIED:
SPLASHWATER PROTECTION. The AP 200 S is IPX4 certified thanks to the encapsulated electronics and sealing of each individual cell. It means that the battery is protected against splashwater from all sides and can be used in rainy conditions.
